Hey guys,
I recently stumbled upon a crepe recipe and decided to give it a try. I loved how thin and delicate the crepes turned out to be and it got me curious about what makes crepes so special compared to other types of pancakes. I've only ever had regular pancakes before and while they're delicious, there's definitely something unique about crepes. Can someone enlighten me on what sets crepes apart from other pancakes? Is it the batter or the way they're cooked? Any insight would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi there!
I'm a big fan of crepes and have been making them for years. What I love about crepes compared to other types of pancakes is their versatility. You can fill them with sweet or savory ingredients and they still taste amazing. My personal favorite is filling them with Nutella and bananas for a sweet treat, but I've also filled them with eggs and cheese for a savory breakfast.
In terms of the batter, I find that crepe batter tends to be thinner than pancake batter. This allows for a thinner, more delicate crepe that cooks quickly and evenly. Also, the way that crepes are cooked is different than regular pancakes. Instead of flipping the crepe like you would a pancake, you have to carefully pick it up with a spatula and flip it over in the pan. It takes some practice to master, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually pretty easy!
Overall, I think what makes crepes special is their unique texture and the endless possibilities for fillings. They're definitely worth trying if you've never had them before!
